On November 29, Head of Resilium Partners Eoghan Trehy, together with over 100 men, will take on a monumental challenge and walk 60 kilometers in a single day, one of six walks taking place simultaneously across Australia, to raise vital funds for the When No Oneâs Watching (WNOW) initiative.
WNOW is a menâs mental health and wellbeing community with a mission to create a safe space for men to connect authentically, share their experiences, and focus on improving mental, physical, and emotional health. The organisation aims to break the stigma surrounding these topics and encourage open conversations about feelings and struggles.
Founded just three years ago in Maroubra, this grassroots initiative has expanded rapidly. Today, WNOW boasts over 40 chapters across six countries, including Australia, New Zealand, England, Ireland, the USA, and Canada. Their ambition doesnât stop there; they aim to establish 250 chapters globally in the next year.
This growth is vital because every hour, 60 men around the world lose their lives to suicide. Thatâs one man every minute. The 60km walk symbolizes this heartbreaking statistic while highlighting the need for collective action to change it.
As one of the founding members and the Coogee Chapter Lead, Eoghan has witnessed firsthand the organisationâs impact. It has not only supported him but has also equipped countless other men with the tools they need to connect, heal, and thrive.
How You Can Help
By supporting Eoghanâs walk, youâll directly contribute to WNOWâs mission. Funds raised will go toward:
- Setting up new chapters globally.
- Training chapter leads to addressing mental health issues effectively.
- Covering the operational costs of keeping WNOW free and accessible to everyone.
Eoghanâs commitment is as inspiring as the cause he champions. Letâs help him make every step count.
